Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.  
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty has an Unusual Shape.  It is oval with Ribbing on the Corners, Scalloped Rim with Embossed Scrollwork, Footer with Scrollwork, Fancy Handle with Thumbgrip, and Gorgeous Blue and White Sponging.  Measures 7" long, 6" wide, and 7 1/2" tall  
 
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" flake on the footer.  That's it!  Otherwise as made.  A drying/firing line near the base of the handle in the making.
