Item 12442

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Harvest Jug from the Midwest.

Dating to the late 19th century,  this beauty features Albany Slip Glaze, Applied Handle, Fill and Drinking Spouts, and a Stripe around the Shoulder.  Stands 10" tall.

These were used by people during harvest to act as a thermos.  The stoneware kept the drink cold.  The larger spout was used to fill it with drink and the smaller spout to drink out of.

Good Condition.  Nibbles around the tip of the drinking spout and a small hole on one side (BB gun?).  No handle, fill spout, or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
