    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."

     

    This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).

     

    This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large Cobalt Blue Bird on a Branch in Bright Cobalt.  Looks like he is surveying his domain!  Measures 9 1/4" tall by 9 1/2" wide.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Three pinhead-size and an 1/8" nibble on the outside of the rim, two 1/8" nibbles on the left handle, and a narrow 1/4" chip on the right handle.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.

     

    Great small size crock with large size birdie!
