Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Merchant Jug made for the merchants, "P. Vidvard & Son, Utica, N.Y."
 
The jug was made by N. A. White & Son, Utica, N.Y. between 1865 and 886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 70-71).
 
This beauty features the a Squatty Form with Tall Neck, Freehand Merchant Initials on the Shoulder, and the Merchant Name Stenciled on the Front.  Stands 10 1/4" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Small chips around the top of the spout, a 1" flat chip on the underside at the edge, and some scattered small flecks and stains on the body.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
