Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Merchant Jug made for "Fuchs Bro', Wines, Liquors, Cigars, &C., 390 Main St., Buffalo, N.Y." 
 
Dating around 1860 this advertising merchant jug features Four Lines of Impressed Advertising with Cobalt Wash that Includes the Coveted Word "Cigars."  Stands 11" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the back of the spout, a tight line through the handle near the top (closeup), a couple minor 1/8 nibbles on the base, and some light staining from use.  No body hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Spout leans slightly left in the making.
