Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "Troy Pottery."
This is one of the marks of the Seymours who ran their pottery in Troy, N.Y. and used this name during the 1837 to 1858 period (Warren Broderick and William Bouck, Pottery Works: Potteries of New York State's Capital Districk and Upper Hudson Region, pp. 131-33).
This beauty featrues the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and Two Cobalt Tulips with Lots of Leaves Executed in Bold Cobalt! Gorgeous decoration on a clean gray canvas. Stands 15" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind! Slight tilt to the left at the spout in the making.
