Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."
This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp, Freehand Capacity Number, and a Brushed Cobalt Iris Decoration. Bright cobalt too! Measures 9" tall and 10" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Some water glass staining inside, a small and light stain outside, and three flat chips on the underside near the edge (1/4" to 3/4"). That is it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
