Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made and stamped by "J. H. Miller, Brandenburg, KY." 
 
James H. Miller of Brandenburg, Kentucky ran his pottery there from 1840-1884 when a flood destroyed it. 
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Wax Sealer Form with a Grooved Rim for the Wax Sealant, Three Precision Cobalt Stripes on the Shoulder, and Miller's Advertising on the Side.  Stands 8" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Some small stone protrusions in the making, mainly in the back.
