Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare Blue and White Salt Crock in the Grapevine on Fence Pattern.  It was made by Brush-McCoy from 1911 - 1924.

See the discussion in Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, p. 131.

This beauty features a Beaded Top Border, Lattice Trellis with Grapevines, and "Salt" Front and Center below a Cluster of Grapes.  Diffused blue coloration.  The lid repeats the pattern and the handle holder is a grapevine.  Measures 5 1/2" tall and 6" wide.

Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" flake on the front edge of the hanger, minor nibbles around the inside of the rim from being used with the lid, and three chips on the base (1/4" to 3/8").  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains or restoration.  A narrow 1" rough spot on the bottom edge in the making. The lid has a 1/4" chip on the edge.  Otherwise, as made.
