Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 1/4" Stovepipe Wax Sealer Canning Jar.

 

Circa 1870 and hailing from Southwestern Pennsylvania, this beauty features the Cylindrical Stovepipe Form with the Grooved Rim for the Wax Sealant, and Four Straight BOLD Brushed Cobalt Stripes on the Front.  Light gray glaze and dark cobalt stripes make for a strong contrast. Stands 6 1/4" tall.

 

Rare to find this shape, small size, and bold evenly spaced stripes. 

 

Excellent Condition. Even wear and small chips around the inner rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
