Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this attractive 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "Hamilton & Jones."
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
 
Circa 1880, this beauty sports a Tooled and Grooved Rim and Shoulder Accented by Two Bold Cobalt Stripes, and the Company Advertising Arched Above a Large Rose Blossom Nestled in Leaves.  Pretty cobalt on a light gray background like we like it.  Stands 8 1/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles and some chips inside the rim, two nibbles on the bottom fold of the tooled rim, and some light staining on the back.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
