Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "Frank B. Norton Sons, Worcester, Mass."
This is the mark of Frank Norton who operated the pottery in Worcester from 1858 to 1886, and was the stamp after 1877 when his partner, Frederick Hancock, left the business (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Diagonal Stylized Floral with Swirl Center Surrounded by Dots. Measures 14" tall.
Very Good Condition. Four 1/4" chips on the sides of the spout toward the back. That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Some small bubbles in the cobalt and a stone ping at the base of the decoration in the making.
