    Coming to you from Doc's Crccks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and impressed by the "Gardner Stoneware Manufactory, Gardner, ME." 

     

    The Gardiner Stoneware Manufactory was run by Charles Swift and William Wood from 1876 to around 1892) (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 38).

     

    This beauty features a Larger Size for a Butter Crock, the Impressed Pottery Stamp, and an Impressed Eagle Carrying a Flagpole with the Flag Draped on It.  Measures 8" by 11". 

     

    Very Good Condition.  Three chips inside the rim (3/8" to 1"), and three narrow chips on the base (1/4" to 1 1/4").  That's it!  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
