Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Lidded Jar made for "Cruikshank Bros. Co., Preserves, Jellies, Fruit Butters.  Allegheny, PA." 
 
Dating around 1900, this beauty features the Advertising in Four LInes within a Rectangular Border, a Star within a Circle at the Shoulder, and the Original Lid and Handle.  Measures 7" tall and 7 1/2" wide across the bottom.  
 
Very Good Condition.  Some staining and craze lines inside at the bottom not visible outside, and minor nibbles around the rim where the lid sits.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The lid has six small chips around the outside and underside of the edge (1/8" to 1/4").  Otherwise as made.
