Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "A. K. Ballard, Burlington, VT."
 
This is the mark of Alfred Ballard who ran the family pottery under this stamp from 1867-1874 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 46).
 
This beauty sports a Squared Spout, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, Brushed Rose Bud in Brilliant Cobalt, and a Glossy Glaze.  Stands 14 1/2" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Some light staining on the left side of the spout.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Typical manufacturing imperfections.
