Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "E. Norton & Co., Bennington, VT ."


This is the mark of Edward Norton who ran the Norton Pottery in Bennington from 1881-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 43-44).


This beauty features a the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Freehand Leaf.  The cobalt is shiny and really stands out from the exceptionally clean glaze.  Measures 8 3/4" tall and 9 3/4" wide across the top.
