Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Yellow Ware Rice Canister with Lid.
It was part of the "Dandy Line" Kitchen Line of the Brush McCoy Company of Zanesville, Ohio.
This set is pictured in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I, on p. 83.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Three White Slip Bands around the Middle with "Rice" Prominently Displayed. Retains its original lid with ridged band. Stands 6" tall.
Very Good Condition. The base has a 3/16" flake inside the rim, and a stone ping in the making below the E in RICE that created a very faint line from there to the rim (closeup). Otherwise, as made. The lid has a 3/8" chip on the underside at the edge. Otherwise, as made.
