Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made for "The Sterling Wine House, St. Paul, Minn. Corner Wabasha and Ninth St."
It was made and embossed on the underside by the Minnesota Stoneware Co., Red Wing, Minnesota (1883-1906). You can see similar advertising jugs in Dan DePasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Stoneware Encyclopedia, pp. 189-194.
This beauty features the desirable Minnesota Stoneware Manufacture, and Complete and Crisp Oval Label with Full Advertising. Stands 11" tall.
Excellent Condition. Four 1/4" pings/flakes on the platform edge and two on base. That's it! No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
