Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware Butter Crock that reads, "Eat More Home Brand Butter, Van Bramer-Lamos Co., Groton. S. Dak."

 

It was made by the Red Wing Stoneware Company of Red Wing, Minnesota (1906-1936). Similar butter crocks are featured in Dan and Gail DePasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Collectibles, pp. 108-112

 

Made about 1920, this beauty features 5 Lines of Stenciled Advertising in a Rectangular Label. Measures 4 1/2" tall and 6" wide across the top.

 

Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble on the rim and base in the back.  That's it!  No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
