    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Butter Crock with Matching Lid.


    Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Rust and White Slip Banding around the Base and Matching Lid. Measures 4 1/4" tall and 5 1/4" wide across the top.


    This piece is pictured in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I  on p. 75.


    Excellent Condition.  The base has a 1/8" chip inside the rim next to a fine and short 3/4" hairline at the rim that is nearly invisible outside (closeup).  No outer rim or base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid has a minor 1/4" chip on the bottom of the inner seating ring on the underside.  Nothing else to report!
