Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Wm. E. Warner, West Troy."

 

This is the mark of William E. Warner who ran a pottery in West Troy, N.Y. from the 1840's until 1871 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 67-68).

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and an Extraordinary Elaborate Floral  Created with a Slip Cup.  Three groupings of curvy leaves hug the stem while supporting a big, rounded and dotted blossom.  Stands 12 1/2" tall. 

 

Excellent Condition.  Some wear to the tips of the leaves on the bottom right.  Otherwise, as made.  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
