    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Whites Utica."

     

    This is a mark of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery in Utica, New York from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , pp. 70-71).

     

    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip Decoration.  The tulip has 9 leaves and the blossom has 12 petals.  Rich, dark cobalt.  Stands 13" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition. Light staining at the base.  That's it!  No chip, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
