Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."
This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Freehand Capacity Number to its Left, and a Brushed Cobalt "Floral Burst" Decoration. A very visually impactful decoration! Stands 14" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 3/4" chip on top of the spout on the left side, and some scattered light stains. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
