Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Merchant Jug made for "Swartfigurer & Son, Crockery & Stoneware Ware, [     ] State Street, Schenectady, N.Y."
 
The decoration indicatest that the jug was made by a pottery in Fort Edward, N.Y. circa 1880.
 
This beauty features a Larger Size, Impressed Capacity and Merchant Advertising, and a Large Brushed Cobalt Floral that is 14" on the diameter!  The advertising makes reference to crockery and stoneware too!  Stands 18 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. A few scattered small stains.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Some bubbles in the cobalt on the bottom of the decoration in the making.
