Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Whites Utica, N.Y."

 

This is a mark of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , pp. 70-71).

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Parrot Perched on a Stump Decoration.  This was one of Whites signature decorations.   Stands 12 3/4" tall.

 

Excellent Condition.  Some very light staining near the bottom. That's it!   No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoraton.  A kiln kiss to the right of the decoration in the making.
