Item 7112
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jar made and stamped by "Whites Utica."
This is a mark of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , pp. 70-71).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Parrot Perched on a Stump Decoration. This was one of Whites signature decorations. Its simplicity is only rivaled by its beauty--and this example is one of the best I have seen for artistry. Stands 10 1/4" tall
Excellent Condition. Chips under both handles and a ping on top of the right handle, and some light staining on the back. That's it! No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
