Item 11544
We are proud to offer one of the crown jewels of blue and gray molded stoneware by Whites Pottery of Utica, New York, between the years of 1890 and 1907.
Here is a Monumental Umbrella Stand by Whites that has few rivals for beauty and detailed decoration.
This beauty sports a Background of Raised Triangles Forming Many Circular Designs, Nine Embossed Rings on the Top and Bottom, Many of which are Unique-- All Highlighting the Center Cartouche of a Man and Woman Sharing an Umbrella. The front features the front of the couple and the back features the back of the couple. Stands 21" tall.
Very Good Condition with Professional Restoration. The lines on the underside are surface only. Professional restoration for a line from the rim to the base on the right side. The bottom 2/3rds of it follows the seam. Masterful restoration totally undetectable outside. Best I have ever seen on a piece of blue and white. Otherwise, as made.
