Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare 6 1/2" Jug made for "J. Ettinger, Wholesale Liquors, 344 Ontario Street, Cleveland, O." 

 

Ettinger was a saloon and liquor store owner in Cleveland in the late 19th century.  The jug comes with a four page article by Jack Sullivan that discusses Ellinger and his saloon.   

 

This beauty features a Small 6 1/2" Size, Two-Toned Glaze, and Four Lines of Cobalt Advertising.  A very bold presentation indeed.  

 

Very Good Condition.  A 1/2" wide colored chip on the left side of the spout, and a flat 1/4" flake on the underside at the edge.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
