Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "West Troy NY Pottery."
This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871 (private research).
Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Folky Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration. Lots of individual feathers and detailed ground cover. Measures 10 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A 1/2" chip and 1/2" surface ping on the rim, three 1/4" chips on the left handle and one on the right. That's it! No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
