    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "West Troy Pottery." 

     

    This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy, New York (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871. 

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Folky Bird on a Branch Decoration.  Shiny cobalt and a large bird for a one gallon jug.  Stands 11 1/4" tall. 

     

    Very Good Condition.  Four small chips on the spout (1/8" to 1/2") (closeup), a narrow 3/4" chip on the underside at the edge, and some faint surface-only craze lines on the bottom.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
