Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Sweet, Sweet 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jug.  
 
This jug is attributed to Madison Woodruff who ran the pottery in Cortland, New York from 1849-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 71).
 
This beauty sports a Cute 1/2 Gallon Size, a Freehand Capacity Number, and a Brushed Cobalt Orchid Blossom in Bold, Bright and Shiny Cobalt.  Stands 8 1/2" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Three 1/4" chips at the base/underside and some light staining from use.  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
