Item 12841
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Superb 8" Stoneware 4 Striper Jar.
I attribute it to Palatine, West Virginia (modern Fairmont).
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Four Broad Stripes Down the Front, Three of Which are Straight and One Wavy. Bold cobalt on a light gray glaze for eye-popping appeal. Stands 8" tall.
One of the prettiest stripers I have seen in a while and one bearing the shiny cobalt of Palatine pottery.
Excellent Condition. A minor 1/8" nibble inside the rim. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
