Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar whose distinctive decoration indicates that it was made by Enoch Burnett of Washington, D.C.
 
Burnett was the son-in-law of Henry Remmey Sr. of the Remmey Pottery Fame.  He potted in D.C. from c. 1846 to c. 1879.  (A. Brandt Zipp, "Washington, D. C. Stoneware." Antiques and Fine Art, Autumn 2010, pp. 202-203).
 
This beauty features a Tooled Rim with Groove for Tying a Cover Over the Top and Three Brushed Cobalt Double Florals Around the Top.  The rich and shiny cobalt of the decoration contrasts nicely with the light gray glaze.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
