Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features Two Top Stripes and One Bottom Stripe Framing the Company Advertising Surrounding a Fancy Floral.  Stands 9 3/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chips inside and outside of the rim.  That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
