Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Superb 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Satterlee & Mory, Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of George Satterlee and Michael Mory who ran this pottery together from 1859-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Splendid Large Cobalt Plume Decoration.  The plume was executed with a slip cup in bright and shiny cobalt.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.  
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  A stoneware ping on the back bottom in the making.
