Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Butter Crock that reads, "Compliments of Steimson & Knowlton, Port Leyden, N.Y.   Retail Dealer in Wm. J. Moxley's Special Oleomargarine.  Better than Butter.  The Taste is the Test."  
 
Dating around 1900, this beauty features Blue and White Stripes Top and Bottom that Frame a Bordered Label with 11 Lines of Advertising and a Graphic Depiction of the Moxley Butter Carton.  Crisp and complete stenciling.  Stands 6 3/4" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Some light staining inside near the top.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  
 
I cannot find a record online of one like this selling.
