Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Sipe, Nichols & Co., Williamsport, PA."
 
This is the stamp of William Sipe, Joe Nichols, and Abram Young who ran the pottery on Market Street from 1875-1879 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 62-63).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Spectacular Brushed Cobalt Flower on the Front with Two Large Leaves and a Steeple Blossom.  The two leaves are composed of 16 broad brush strokes and the blossom of 7 Circles.  Stands 13 1/2".  
 
Excellent Condition.  A narrow 1/2" chip on the base edge and some light staining.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
