Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 5 Gallon Double-Handled Jug from Ohio.
 
Circa 1870 and hailing from the environs of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, this beauty features a Large Size, Semi-Ovoid Form, Two Striped Handles, and Brushed Leaf and Fruit Decoration on Both Sides.  On the front, two leaves drape down above the capacity number which rests on a large sideways apple.  On the back, two apples cascade down the front.  Bold and shiny cobalt.  
 
Very Good Condition.  From what I can surmise, the right handle came off on the top and bottom and has been professionally reattached with some touchup (closeup).  Otherwise, as made.
