Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "Satterlee & Mory, Fort Edward, N.Y."

 

This is the stamp of George Satterlee and Michael Mory who ran this pottery together from 1859-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).

 

This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Cobalt Stylized Floral Bouquet Decoration.  Less common maker and size. Stands 10 1/4" tall. 

 

Very Good Condition. Some narrow flat chips around the inside the rim.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The chip on the bottom edge is an imperfection in the making.
