Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Stoneware Stovepipe Wax Sealer Canning Jar.  
 
Circa 1880 and hailing from Southwestern Pennsylvania (probably Greensboro), this beauty features a Stovepipe Form, Tooled Rim with Groove for Hot Wax, and Large Stencil of a Rose Blossom and Bud in Dark Cobalt.  Small 6 1/4" size.  
 
I have only ever seen one other like this and that was over 20 years ago.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles and a couple 1/4" chips inside the rim, and a 1/4" chip outside the rim in the back.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
