    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare Redware Jar made and stamped on the bottom by "J. M. Dosch."  

     

    Dosch potted in Kittanning, Pennsylvania in Armstrong County northeast of Pittsburgh in the 19th century. 

     

    This beauty features a Semi-Ovoid Shape, Semi-Squared Rim, Tooled Shoulder, Small Footer, and a Dark Brown Lead and Manganese Glaze. Stands 6 5/8" tall. 

     

    Good Condition.  Wear around the seating ring and top of the rim, two 3/4" narrow chips inside the rim, surface wear, and small chips around the footer.  No hairlines, cracks, stains. or restoration.
