Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising Stenciled on a Diagonal. Stands 11 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the shoulder.  Otherwise, as made!  A chip on the spout is in the making and glazed over.
