Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 3 Gallon Jug made and stamped "The P.S. Co., York, PA."
 
This is the mark of the Pfaltzgraff Pottery of York, Pa which began in the 1830's.  This mark was used from about 1894-1906 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 51-52).
 
This jug was deascensioned from the Pfaltzgraff museum when Pfaltzgraff changed ownership.
 
Dating about 1895, this beauty features a Semi-Ovoid Shape, Clear Pottery Stamp, and a Beautiful Brushed Cobalt Tulip Over 1 Foot in Length.  Ten leaves hold a tulip blossom with 7 petals.  Stands 15 1/2" tall.
 
Good Condition.   Two chips on the spout (1/2", 1"), a 1/2' chip at the base, and overall staining from use.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
