Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware Fruit Jar made and stenciled by the "Palatine Pottery Co., Palatine, W.VA." (Modern Fairmont)
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Tooled Rim for Ease of Tying a Cover Over the Top, Light Gray Glaze, and the Company Stencil Surrounding a Large Pear.  The stencil is complete and strong which is often not, and it really contrasts nicely with the light gray glaze.  Stands 7 1/2" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Best example of this fruit jar I have ever seen.
