Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Circa 1870, this beauty features the Tooled Rim with Groove for the Wax Sealant, Slightly Canted Sides, Light Gray Glaze, and Four Bright Freehand Brushed Cobalt Stripes. Wonderful color and contrast! Stands 8 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. A couple flakes on the rim and two on the bottom edge (1/8", 1/4"). Two 2" nearly invisible surface craze lines from the rim not seen inside (closeups). No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
