    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."

     

    This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).

     

    This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large Brushed Cobalt Bluebird on a Branch.  The bird is 8 1/2" from the tip of her beak to the tip of her tailfeather.  Measures 10 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top. 

     

    Very Good Condition.  A 1/2" flake on the rim and some staining from use.   No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A 1/4" stone ping on the rim in the making.
