Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantabulous 2 Gallon Syrup Jug made and stamped by the "New York Stoneware Company, Fort Edward, N.Y."
This company was in operation in Fort Edward, New York from 1859-1885.
This beauty features a Pouring Spout, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Bird on a Branch created with a slip cup. The bird is large and the cobalt is strong. It would be hard to find a better bird on a 2 gallon syrup jug. Stands 14" tall.
Excellent Condition. A few scattered nibbles and a 1/2" square glaze flake on the left side as shown. That's it! No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
