Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantabulous 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "New York Stoneware Company, Fort Edward, N.Y."  
 
This company was in operation in Fort Edward, New York from 1859-1885.
 
This beauty features a Small Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Bluebird on a Plume created with a Slip Cup.  The bird is larger than most on the few you find on a 1 Gallon Jug.  Stands 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Three minor nibbles on the back of the spout, and a 1/2" chip on top of the spout.   That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the tip of the wing in the making and glazed over.
