Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Salt Glaze Script Jug made for "Moses S. Froehlich, 264 Springfield Ave., Newark, N.J." 
 
Circa 1890, this beauty features the desired Small 1/2 Gallon Size, Older Salt Glaze, and Four Lines of Cobalt Script Nicely Narrowing as You Read Down the Jug.  Stands 9 3/4" tall.
 
Excelllent Condition.  A couple nibbles on the front of the spout and a 1/4" flake on the left side of the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Typical manufacturing imperfections. The small darker specks in the glaze are from pieces of iron in the clay melting in the kiln when the jug was fired.
