Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made in and stamped "Lyons."
This is very likely the work of Thompson Harrington who ran the pottery in Lyons, New York from 1852 to 1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 73-74).
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Two Capacity Number "2's", and Two Brushed Cobalt Tulips. The floral has five leaves and two blossoms with seven petals each. Bright cobalt too! Measures 10" tall and 10" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. A 1/2" surface-only line on the rim (closeup) and some staining from use. No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
